Just got back from my trip to DLR. From John Wayne Airport I took the Grayline Disneyland Express.
http://www.airportbus.com/ $14 one way, $24 round trip. Takes about 30 minutes, depending on traffic.
I stayed at the Tropicana Inn. Decent room, about $80/night, directly across from the Main Gate and just north of the one and only pedestrian crosswalk over Harbor Blvd. Booked it through Expedia.com.
