I took the train from Martinez to Reno. Driving that would take about 3 hours. On the train it took about 6 hours. Granted, you do go over the sierras to get there. The trip there was nice and had beautiful scenery to look at, but the way home was awful! I just wanted to get home, and it seemed like it took forever!

Overall though, it was a great experience.

On a side note, while waiting to get into DL on July 17th, I met a family from Martinez that had taken the train to the DLR. I thought that was pretty cool to run into a family from my home town in a sea of thousands of people waiting to get inot DL!
