not sure where you got that idea but the footprint for mulholland madness would not even be enough for the queue portion of Rocknroller coaster.
when DCA was close to pening the attraction being consider to open next was armaggedon. this attraction was going to be built where the millionare building is. there was several reason why this did not happen. One being that the one in WDS Paris was not received as well as it was thought. Before the park opened plans were also in development on what attarction would be the next big "e" ticket for DCA at around its fourth year. two attractions were considered one was TOT and the other one was rocknrollercoaster. We all know which one won. Being that california screamin was a smiliar attraction and Space mountain was eventually going to need a major refurbishment. TOT was moved up a couple years and opened sooner as its first major addition. Space mounatin will also launch its Rock-it mountain experience early summer and its effects will be similiar to rocknrollercoaster.
DCA does have room for this attraction but it is not in considereation at the moment. The thinking for this park is to try and get new attractions unique to it for the future. the next big attraction at the moment will replace a large portion of the south side of bugsland. (the unused farmers market buildings will come down) this section will be turned into cannery row which will compliment fishermans warf.
Another possibility which was put on hold for the time being (but not completely scrapped) would be a very large attraction that uses the same technology used by rocket rods/testrack). this attraction could be revived and added to route 66 after it is redesigned completley and re-organized or could very well be placed behind TOT and use some of the 25 acres still available to expand DCA. Eventually DCA will be the same size +/- a couple acres to Disneyland. DCA has lots of room outside its boundaries and inside its boundaries in each land for new attractions
