Did you forget the scene after Camarillo when you're flying over Death Valley & the fighter jets fly by? Before I read that, I had no idea that was supposed to be a desert either, but desert isn't the point. Experimental/pioneering aviation is & Condor Flats does a pretty good job of it. It's still funny to see the small red propellor plane pointed on a course to fly straight into Tower
