Wow! Long thread! HI EVERYONE! :)

I stumbled onto the forums tonight while googling around about Imagineering. Seems like a neat place, so I thought I'd stick around a while and say hello. :)

I'm 28 and from Alaska. My primary hobbies are reading, writing, and exploring, and I hope to return to school very soon. If I can hack it after so much time gone, I'm aiming for an engineering degree. (Why, yes, I do dream of someday being a Disney Imagineer. But engineering, even without the Disney bits, just seems really cool, so mostly I'm aiming for the degree and the career, and the Imagineering bit is a dreamy wish my heart makes. :) )

The only Disney park I've been to is Disneyland, and I love it. It's easily one of my very favorite places on earth. Lately I've noticed that I can tell when I'm having a rough day, because I start daydreaming about when I can visit again. I would love to visit the other parks. Someday! :)

Specific Disney-ish interests include: Walt himself, pin trading (I'm not very hardcore, just a small collection, but it's fun! I've never actually traded face-to-face with anyone in the parks, though... I'm too shy), the original Mickey Mouse Club, Belle, Snow White, Stitch, the history of the parks, imagineering and the how-it-all-works-together of the parks, and oddball factoids that I can share with my mom when we visit the park.

Favorite rides/attractions include the Enchanted Tiki Room, the Asimo demonstration, the Jungle Boat Cruise, Indiana Jones, the Haunted Mansion, Star Tours, Pirates of the Caribbean, and the Monorail. The performers and castmembers are definitely another favorite part of my visit.

Anyway... not sure what else to put, but hello, everyone! I'm looking forward to poking around here and getting to know the place. :)
