But that isn't the same thing. DCA isn't DCA to a casual Tourist. it's Disney's California Adventure. MGM was just MGM..it wasn't Disney's Metro Goldwyn Mayer Studios. so a change to the DCA name would just be a change in letters. MGM is now DHS.

Personally I wonder why they didn't just change it to "The Disney Studios". They've been calling it that for years,why not make it official? why add the Hollywood there. they could always call it hollywoodland...but that be cheesy. then again...hollywood itself did change it's name...and so did Siam. so name changing isn't exclusive to the likes of theme parks
obviously. but that isn't my point.
as long as MGM(DHS) keeps the old Hollywood undertone such as the vintage billboard and such...I perfectly fine with the name change. it is just the idea of modernizing the blissful vintage Hollywood glamor undertone, the romanticized view of film, to "modern" Hollywood glamor just makes me quite angry
