What kind of a person actually believes that they need to pack a gun into a theme park? A person who is paranoid (or aggressive) and therefore dangerous enough to think he/she does. And why do people pack guns and knives into ridiculously safe situations? Because they want (even if only subconsciously) a reason or situation to use them.
Here's a definition of "Gun Fanatic" that fits in this context: A gun fanatic would be anyone who thinks that it's a good idea TO BRING A GUN INTO A DISNEY PARK.
Funny how it fits the definition (in this context) of "Dangerous Person", isn't it?
And the definition of a person with poor critical thinking skills and paranoid delusions in this context would be: Anyone who thinks it's a good idea to bring a gun, knife, taser, pepper spray, nunchuks, sword, or ANY weapon INTO A DISNEY PARK because they are convinced that they NEED them.
Period.

Boy, you sure are an opinionated fellow aren't you? You know, there is a difference between personal opinon/conjecture and factual, logical statements.
"Deadly weapons" can be just about anything under the sun. For example, a person could be killed with pens, pencils, kabobs, a plastic bag, a rock, a piece of rope, dental floss, the chair you sit on while eating lunch, the fork you eat lunch with, the knife you cut your lunch with, any glass bottle, your fists, a t-shirt, any of the weapons available in Fantasyland, or a whip from Indy's Outpost. If "deadly weapons of ANY kind" were truely removed form DL, it would be a very different place.
Now, I'm not comfrotabel with Joe Blow bringing a gun into the park. I don't want any idiot walking into DL while packin' heat. However, I would have absolutely no problem with Disney Security wearing firearms. A trained professional equipped with a firearm is like a warm cozey blanket of safety wrapped around my shoulders.
Knives are tools, not weapons; in the same way that hammers, although able to bust your head open, are merely tools and not weapons. I know lots of people who would bring knives into a place like DL not because they "need" them but because they are handy. I don't mean Bowie knives, Crocodile Dundee knives, or Rambo knives. I'm talking about Leathermans, Swiss Army, or small folding knives. Fixed blades are pushing it.
Let's be logical about this: If I put a Swiss Army in my pocket it isn't because I am dying to have a knife fight. That is common sense.
