Netflix. Godsend. Nuff said.

Seriously, I live in a family of five, we've used the service for years, have had no complaints (one DVD came unplayable, and another was in the wrong sleeve, and they sent replacements ASAP). Then again, I live near one of the distribution centers, so there's only a day's turnaround for me, others may have up to a week (and I'll confess, sometimes I've waited almost that long if I send it at the end of the week). As for what we've gotten... well, family of five, the variety's decent for us. Mainly new releases, my dad's been into documentary/Planet Earth-type movies for a while. My sisters and I occasionally request older titles (aka the Jean Cocteau black-and-white Beauty and the Beast. Francais all the way, baby!) The selection's good, and you can browse it without logging in, which is always a good perk. And the rate is monthly, so the only thing that keeping your movies longer deprives you of is the next movie in your queue, and I've horded some rentals for almost a whole months before sending them back, but with a three-movie plan, it doesn't matter too much.
