The new windows on the Mark VII look like the kind of windows used on older minivans, and from personal minivan experience they don't cool as efficiently as regular "rolling" windows. And even then, the monorail needs to be moving in order for those "flip out" windows to get any kind of cross ventilation, and the train spends a good amount of time stopped in Tomorrowland in full sun.

Perhaps the power problems for the AC could be fixed with a battery and solar charge setup, or use a similar battery setup as the Nemo subs...of course that doesn't help the weight problem...

I wonder what the fan setup is. Are they drawing in air from the roof, or are they drawing in air at all? I think the real problem is the lack of cross ventilation--it wasn't too unbearable in the AC-less Mark Vs because of their window design, but the Mark VII looks like its going to be a hot box with those minimally open windows that don't allow cross ventilation.

Not knowing the design details, maybe they should increase fan speed and include a fan exhaust of the cabins along with a fan intake--anything to keep the air moving through the cabin.
