At our school we have ten Mac Pro G5's with Final cut Studio 2 running on them. We also have five really good PC's with Avid on them. Also this year we went to the Studnet Television Network convention at Disneyland! It was bomb. We took part in the sweet 16 contest, where you get one word topic, and you have to go around the resort and make a story. We got the word at 6 am, and had to shoot and edit it by 11 pm. 16 hours. Our word was amazing, so we just went around DLR mainly DTD and got some cool shots, and had anchors do a quick story on hidden mickeys, then we went out and found them. The exhibit hall at the DLH served as the editing room, all they gave us was three tables in a U shape, and a power strip. We brought two Mac Pro's and a PC with Sony Acid on it (we needed to make our own music, or have royalty free music) Anyway that was the first day. There were something around 140 schools there, and no we didn't win. There are also a bunch of other contests you do, and the convention is three days, but we stayed five and went to Disneyland!
Next year its at WDW, and its at a resort off property. STN is renting the whole place out, its gonna be sweet!
