Last time I was at DCA, my friend wasn't looking forward to ToT. But I assured her that if she can handle Splash, she could definitely handle this and probably have a lot of fun. Right before we got into the elevator, she gave me this death-glare, and goes, "I hate you." I just laughed. Turns out she didn't enjoy it, but somehow we got he to go two more times on it.

If you can handle Splash you can handle ToT?!

Well, that's a blatant lie!!!

I can handle Splash (just about - my stomach goes though) but it's nowhere near as bad as ToT.
I just don't like the fact that there's less to hold onto at DCA's than there is at WDW's.
Don't think I've ever seen anyone get off and say they wouldn't do it again though. It's that initial ride that does it for you. Then you're OK. It's good that your mate did go on it in the end though - three times despite not liking it. Good work!!
Always makes me laugh when I remember back to last Summer's vacation and we were queuing for ToT for the first time at Dl (first time to Dl so never rode DCA's version before) and these kids were by the side of us. They asked the people behind them (two women who claimed they had been on WDW's version before) if you stood or sat in the elevator and one of the women goes "Oh I can't remember!!" My mum's extremely talkative so when they [the kids] asked her what it was like she was telling them all. I think she may have put them off slightly 'coz she did tell it straight but they did go on it in the end and they all enjoyed it! I just couldn't believe the women who said they'd been on WDW's version but for some reasdon couldn't remember if you stood or sat. It's like "H-E-L-L-O, I think you WOULD remember that if you've been on it before!!!"
