I can't confirm any plans about future tomorrow land overhauls but I wouldn't expect an Autopia Renovation soon unless a movie comes along (other than Cars) that will completely fit in its place and story. The 2000 renovation has been considered a great sucess by Imagineers and being that that was 7 years ago, there is no reason for them to renovate a currently fine attraction that serves its purpose, regardless of its sponsor.
I agree the HISTA needs to go away, It is extremely outdated and was never that great to start with. It also has little to do with tomorrowland's theme. There is probably space for a small dark ride where it is currently located and I would like to see that.
As for the people mover track, I think they need to something with it, whether that means placing a new attraction or taking the track down for good. If they continue to leave the track up and do nothing, people will not stop begging for the peoplemoveer, rocket rods, or a new ride. I hope they do something because that track has been an integral facet of Tomorrowland since 1967.
I don't really like the Astro Orbiter's location, I think its too close to the central hub, however, I don't think its a big enough reason for it to be moved to the rocket rods platform tower thing. I would like to see something there though instead of that dumb sateilliete thing.
Something no one has mentioned: Star Tours. Although its a Disney landmark, it needs to be updated or replaced. Its technology is dated as well as its storyline. A newer version or a new ride needs to go in that large space soon.
As for the jules verne gold themed tomorrowland, I don't dislike it, and only beacuse Tomorrowland at Disneyland is no longer intending to predict the future but rather show a more charming vision of it. EPCOT took Tomorrowland's role to a new level in the 80's and since then , tomorrowland remains more whimisical, charming, and less purposeful. NO hard feelings though
