When Prof. Ned Brainard's fabulous Flubber helps win the game, Hawk quickly gets to the bottom of this and swoops in and steals the prof's flying Model T, in hopes of cashing in on Ned's brilliant invention without lifting so much as a finger.

He must have been let off easy, for Hawk returned for more shifty schemes in "Son of Flubber" and "Herbie Rides Again".
