All based off of memory of what I read quite a while back (So if I'm wrong, correct me), Wall●E has a collection of artifacts and one of his hobbies is to collect these things as he digs through trash in all his years of existence. One item in his collection is a VCR, some tapes, and a television, and he oftenly watches the videos from Earth's past and learns what humans were like. I believe those are the parts (So I heard) that feature actual live-action segments of histories past when Wall●E is watching events on the television screen.
Also, the lack of voice acting- I wouldn't get low-expectations over that. It still can be an awsome film; and as Pixar themselves say that this will be the most different film thus far, and may just be the best if the critics understand the direction this film will be going like they do.

Thanks. My hopes are a bit up again. And that is a good idea about live action on the television. Times like that are the comical kind.
