I would definitely recommend going to Blue Bayou on your birthday (or on the day you CELEBRATE it at Disneyland.. lol) wearing your birthday pin. You can pick up a birthday button at the Town Hall just at the start of Main Street. Husband reserved a lunch table at Blue Bayou for his birthday for the three of us and the waitress brought him a "special birthday desert" and birthday card (both free) and told him the staff of the BB would like to wish him a very happy birthday.
Months later, he took his little brother for his thirteenth birthday to have lunch there and the waitress they got that time was either very busy or just not a sterling example of a good Cast Member. John had to ask for his brother's card and desert and the woman brought out the desert, dropped it at the table without a word, and forgot the card. Still, Mat didn't know any better and really enjoyed the "special" attention he was getting.
We took a few pictures inside Blue Bayou, including the desert, if anyone would like to see them I'll be sure to get them from John's computer and share them here. If you order the Creme Brulee trio, be prepared to be served a hidden mickey! :)
