They will only stop you from using SR if it is very short. Anything above 5 minutes and it'll be available.
You will go through the entrance, but then at the merge point you will be directed to a special line on the side for either theatre. Also, front row seating is by no means guaranteed. You will seat where you are instructed to sit, which could easily be gate C row 3.
