I went Monday & Tuesday, Aug 7th & 8th. Both days were VERY busy -- lines for everything, lots of guests - I even had to wait in line for the "secret potty"!!

Monday: In New Orleans Square, the POTC line was over an hour long, and pretty much filled up all of NOS (word of advice - hit POTC and HM after 8pm -- everyone is staking out places to see Fantasmic, and the lines are MUCH shorter - HM was a walk-on, and POTC was only a 15 minute wait). Splash Mountain also had a VERY long queue during the day, and it didn't seem to decrease as the evening wore on. Big Thunder also had a MUCH shorter queue in the early evening (I think my wait time was around 10 minutes at a quarter til 9).

Tuesday: I used my Early Entry to see Space Mountain and BLAB before park opening, and it was great -- 15 minutes for Space Mountain at 7:15 AM and no wait for BLAB at 7:50 ! I went to DCA in the mid-afternoon (2-ish til around 5-ish) and was amazed by how empty it was! I used the "single rider" option at Soarin' over California and waited 10 minutes at the most. Monsters Inc had a 10-15 minute wait (and totally worth it - very cute ride...and I'm still trying to figure out how the last character talks to the individual guests -- "young lady in the front row," {that would be me, in this case} "I like your glasses!" {I was wearing a rather...ummm...distinctive pair...})
Then back to Disneyland...once again, the queues in NOS were manageable again at this time of day. One complaint: the POTC folks seemed so obsessed with wait time that thay paid NO attention to load volume. This evening, the boats on POTC were so crowded (literally bumper-to-bumper) thru the ride that it was distracting (imagine every time your boat slows down, it is struck by the boat behind it -- EVERY TIME!!!)

Summary: I am not normally a Summer Visitor - Spring and Fall are more my cup o' tea. I'm gald I went, but I think I'll go back to my off-season habits from now on...Waiting for it to get dark to enjoy my favorite rides was a bit of a downer. Besides, in the other seasons, it gets dark earlier -- more time to enjoy Disneyland After Dark!!

Hope this helps, everyone!!!
Thanks for the info I am going to Disneyland for the first time Saturday
